Like the new look

I can't believe I actualy managed to get it up over the weekend! I am a frustrated digital scrapbooker and am foraying that into making my own banners. Don't compare my sad attempt to other's professional banners. I'm just starting out. I need lots of work. But I'm proud of it. :)
A friend of mine, Gina, has a digital sbing store. I used her "create your own bulletin board" stuff to create the banner. So thanks Gina!
So, the 2nd post of 2009! (and actually the 1st real post of 2009...yesterdays was just a filler!) Did everyone make their New Years Resolutions? I don't make them, but I do set goals for the NY. I don't like adding "resolution" because then it makes it too easy to break them. "Goals", however, are things you don't break...you strive for. So I make New Year Goals. Symantics to some, but it makes sense to me (welcome to the insanity that is my brain!)
My goal this year is health. Especially ending the last year unhealthy and with unanswered questions, my health, those of my family...this is what I'm going to focus on. I am going to focus on getting healthier (losing weight, getting fit, helping flexibility). I want to embrace time with my family...it makes me happier and therefore healthier...when I can live in the moment of just being with them. Not rushed or side tracked but actually to sit and BE. WITH. THEM. Sounds simple, but I think as a mom, we tend to multi-task more than we realize. I'm afraid in doing so, sometimes I might be cheating my kids of, well, me. I am going to try and keep in touch with my friends better. I have some of the most AMAZING friends (some for 30 years!) and while they know I love them (you all do know I love you, right?) we tend to lose track, come back together, and then lose track again for a couple of months. My goal is to keep in better touch with my friends.
So that's it. Health, Family and Friends

So, you will notice that will be the theme of my blog this year...to keep in line with my goals. Of course, my family has been a theme (or should I say the kids) the whole time. I am going to also keep my health goals a running theme. I may even get brave and post before and after pictures....MAYBE. So my friends, here's to a happy, and especially healthy 2009 for you all. Keep in touch (and I will try and do the same) and I hope you stop by every once in awhile to check in on us!
