that my son might be getting ready to potty train. You would think I would be excited...but with Kylee, I remember that means you just stop at EVERY single bathroom. Quite honestly, public bathrooms give me the heebee jeebees..and it's easier to change a diaper (can do in a stroller or the back of the car)...but it's harder to keep the germies away when you have to visit every bathroom and they want to touch EVERYTHING!
So, why you ask, do I think my son is ready to start potty training almost? Well, he can tell me when he poops (after, not before...so he is aware...so I know he's not ready just yet). Also, he can concentrate...and pee. For example...yesterday, he was going to take a shower with me. I get his clothes off and he says "mommy, I pee pee" and he had one drop. I said good job..you did it...and kind of laughed. He said "I pee pee again". I looked at dh and was telling him about the one drop...and then we look down to a stream of pee pee going onto the floor...with a smiling boy.
Fast forward to today...Kade is dressed for school...all he needs is shoes on. Dh is in the shower and Kade decides he wants to take a shower too. He starts to undress. I'm doing Kylee's hair and not too worried (as I had been told by his teacher the day before I really need to work on self dressing with him so he can pull on and off his pants). I kind-of giggle as he gets his sweat pants down to his ankles and he starts tugging at his diaper. He managed to get the diaper off...and ran to the trash can and threw it away (still with his sweats around his ankles...cute little butt flashing in the wind). He comes back in and says something along the line of "I pee-pee" and I look up to find him peeing on the floor. He is so proud of himself, he finishes and then does one of his "happy feet" dances in it. I finished getting Kylee ready and had to change Kade now that his socks were all pee-pee'd on and he had pee-pee dribble down the front of his sweats. Geez.
